I`ve heard that Bob Dylan once sang his song, " All Along the Watchtower" the same way Jimi Hendrix used to play it.
Did this really happen? If it did, it must have blown the audience away to hear Dylan sing the Hendix version of his own song! Did it happen only once?
Not just once- he USUALLY performs it in Hendrix’s style, and has for many years.
I saw him do it that way at the Frank Erwin Center, here in Austin a few years back (Dylan was touring with Paul Simon that year).
Dylan’s band was superb, and if Dylan could sing even a LITTLE< it would’ve sounded great.
He can’t sing even a little.
