Dynamic SMS: Scam?

I really don’t know how the vB code stuff works, so please bare with me.

There’s this website, www.dynamicsms.com which (supposedly) gives money to people who are willing to sign up and recieve advertising SMS’s from various companies.

Sounds like a too-good-to-be-true deal to me. Will the kind folks here please affirm (or debunk) my doubts about this? Many of my friends have already signed up for it but I’m terribly skeptical about the whole issue. Thanks.

Anyway, the How It Works page looks a lot like those old Avon pyramids. It’s probably not illegal, but it’s probably not effective either.
