:eek:I just put in a bid of $43 on an acer laptop(show present bid of $41 afterwards), cut off the machine, went to brunch, come back, and It showed I won-but winning bid is now $51 !!

Check your emails carefully, fxmulder. The details of the transaction will be there. If you didn’t get eBay’s official “you won this auction” email, then they might be trying to scam you.
Could be a “phish” email as KneadtoKnow said. Don’t click on any links in the email, just point your browser to ebay and log in there.
I got one of these a few years ago, clicked on the link in the email and was taken to what looked exactly like the ebay signin page. Signed in and got into ebay, then a few days later my account was hacked. Apparently the signin page the email linked to was fake, and after they stole my password, it signed me into the real ebay page and I was none the wiser.
NEVER click links in an email from ebay!
