Does anyone have experience with Mutt Muffs or anything similar for noise phobic dogs?
I’ve never used anything like that, but I think it would take a pretty damn tolerant dog to wear those. Mine would have those right off within 45 seconds. It’s easier to just give them some happy juice as needed.
Have you tried a Serious Talk?
My dog is a huge (100 lb) coward. Every firework holiday, we end up staying with her until the fireworks are over. This year, I got sick of it (who wants to stay home on New Year’s Eve?) so I sat her down and had a serious talk with her: don’t be afraid, they won’t hurt you, and I’m here to protect you.
Worked better than drugs. She stayed calm and relaxed all night.
Mutt Muffs sounds like something you would find in a very cheap and nasty porno flick.
