What? These are marketing people. They have to assume their audience does care about aesthetics, even if their target demos are stereotypically apathetic or hostile to such things. It’ll be seen internationally by all, after all.

But those are betting odds, not probability-based simulations. Betting odds are set to try to spread the total bets placed over all the teams in the playoffs. As such they represent bettors’ confidence in the teams rather than the actual probability that any given team wins the game.

A casino offering those odds would go bankrupt. To make money, they need to subtract a vig from the odds, which means the total odds should add up to LESS than a 100 percent chance of someone winning the Super Bowl. Not more.
