If you have a crock pot or slow cooker, a couple of pounds of beef roast, some barbeque sauce, and some rolls… plus some time before you’re hungry… here’s a recipé for easy barbeque beef.
Thicky slice about a kilo of beef roast. Maybe about 5 cm. thick, more or less. It’s just to help it cook faster. Put it into your crock pot or slow cooker. (Mine is a West Bend Slo Cooker with a rectangular metal pan and a heavy glass lid.) Season with salt and pepper. (A friend of mine covers the beef with water, but I don’t.) Cover with the lid and cook on high until it’s done, usually four to six hours.
Drain off the liquid and shred the meat with a fork. Mix in your favourite barbeque sauce, and there you have it! Serve in rolls for a tasty BBQ beef sandwich.
