Combine this with the technology to animate these figures on the fly and synthesize text to realistic, emotive speech - both of which are developing alarmingly quickly - and soon actors may be as obsolete as coal miners and buggy drivers. Automation is coming for the white collar types and the elites as well, not just blue collar manual laborers.
Hopefully this will leak out to the general public and we will never see self-published books using Fractal Design Poser models again.
