You’re not going to get the game before they release it, but you can get the instant it’s available. You don’t have to wait on shipping. You can preorder online, but it’s hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll receive the item before it’s “officially” available, but sometimes not for another week.

Says you. I pre-ordered both Diamond and Pearl, one for me and one for my son. A few stores had lines this past Sunday morning waiting on the new Pokemon releases.
