I own a store where i sell close to/past best by dates.
I don’t sell anything very far (more than a couple months) out of date, but i wouldn’t bat an eye at eating a can of anything that was only 9 months expired.
Aside from the blindness it sounds like you’re fine. :o
Years ago I bought a bottle of aspirin, which I seldom take, and it was a bargain, something like 250 for 99 cents. Long time ago. Anyway, even after giving away many of them and using aspirin rarely I still had the bottle seven years after the expiration date! When I was growing up my father told me that aspirin was fine so long as it didn’t smell like vinegar. If it did, throw it away. Mine didn’t. I finished the bottle, and they still worked.
