Ed Wood DVD

The Ed Wood DVD was supposed to come out today, but there was a problem with the DVD. Could this be the greatest tragedy in the history of mankind? Why must everything be so hard in this world? This is a great movie and deserves to have a great DVD release. Now it won’t. How can we live in a world where this movie is treated so badly? We need the President to appoint a special investigation to find out what sent wrong and who is responsible. Heads should roll.

Lots of people worked very hard to make a great movie and now this. I was really looking forward to watching this great film and now I have to wait. Why? I think this must be a further sign that standards in the world are falling.

It’s par for the course. Warner Brothers announced Omega man was to be released back in 1999, it came out last summer.

I’ve been waiting for the special edition of Goodfellas for over a year. The truth is that the more a film is desired the longer the wait.

It was sent to many retailers then it was recalled. I can’t seem to find out why it was recalled.

Some got out though.

Just check ebay. Just don’t faint at the prices.

I want to know why it took so long for there to be an Ed Wood DVD in the first place. It’s underacknowledged and underappreciated, but it’s hardly the worst Tim Burton movie. You’d think Martin Landau’s performace alone would move it up in the queue a little.

So I pit not only the fact that the release was delayed this week, but that it took this long in the first place. Viva angora!

I was told by a clerk that it was recalled because the copyright protection was causing it to not play.

What i heard was they didn’t pay one of the song writers for the writes for one of the songs, and he’s suing them.

Don’t worry, the DVDR will show up online eventually once people start winning the Ebay auction.

If you have a regionfree DVD-player, you could just order it from Europe. I have bought a new copy about a year ago for just 15 Euros. (Approximately 19 USD).

PIT?
PIT?

Why is this in the pit???

Because it is a rant against what is probably the greatest tragedy in the history of mankind.

Didn’t Criswell predict this would happen?

A few Blockbusters got them in and are selling them for retail ($29.99?), so you may want to try that. I’m not usually into pirating movies, especially ones that appear to have artistic merit, but it looks like I don’t have much of a choice if I’m going to ever see this thing in the next year or so…
