If it’s actually a crow, I’d start feeding it. Set out some dry dog food. Make a friend. You don’t want to make an enemy of a crow, because they not only can hold a grudge as @Dewey_Finn notes, ISTR they’ll teach other crows to perpetuate that grudge!
Correct. That article says that when an individual crow has a grudge against a human, the rest of the murder will share that grudge.
They also tenaciously hold grudges. When a murder of crows singles out a person as dangerous, its wrath can be alarming, and can be passed along beyond an individual crow’s life span of up to a dozen or so years, creating multigenerational grudges.
A grackle is considerably smaller than a crow. And in the right light it’s head is usually a dark metallic shade of green. Unlike crows, grackles are not known for their intelligence (or vindictiveness).
