How can I edit a comment I made on a thread? Someone else’s comment was added to mine by this website.
You can only edit your own posts, not ones by other members. There is a little box in the lower right hand corner of the post. I think there is a time limit on how long tou have to edit the posts, as I can’t edit my older posts, but newer ones (as in the last half hour or so) seem to be fine. I’m not sure if guests are able to edit or not.
You can’t edit other members’ posts, but maybe you’re thinking of quotes?
If someone quotes your post, text from your post will appear in a quote box, within their post.
Five minutes, I believe.
Can you link to the post in question? Perhaps you were just being quoted. If someone cahnged your words in a quote, though, that’s a no-no.
Yes, if you could post a link to that specific post, we’ll take a gander at it. The software shouldn’t be combining posts, but hey, anything can happen.
