Can most older computers, like 486’s, take both EDO ram and FPM, or do they usually only take FPM ram?
I don’t think those older mainboards like EDO RAM, but it might work on some of the later models. There won’t be any damage if you do try it, you’ll just get post RAM errors. You certainly won’t get any of the performance gains over older DRAM technologies, though.
