I’ve never even heard about the One Chip Challenge chip.
As long as we’re not talking immediately about burritos, I made tacos dorados last night. Just ground beef and taco seasoning for the filling. They seemed to be taking longer than usual to turn ‘dorado’, so I stepped away for a minute. Everyone knows the punchline. Actually, that side wasn’t too done. Well, they were, but The Wife likes them super crispy. She had hers with Trader Joe’s Taco sauce, shredded cheese, and sour cream; and I had mine with Trader Joe’s Taco Sauce, sour cream, and shredded cheese.
Hey, it was either that or left-over pot roast. Since she doesn’t cook, then today will have made three nights of pot roast for dinner.
Although based on my reading, a ‘traditional’ hotdog would therefore be either a sandwich (if the bread separated), or a taco, or for people with a poor, unsubstantial sausage, soup/salad/quiche. The fools.
I’ll tell you what - El Pollo Loco tacos are surprisingly good. I’m not generally one for flour tortillas either, but I make an exception for those chicken avocado tacos. And for a corporate monolith they make a surprisingly restaurant-quality guacamole. Or at least the one close to me does. I’m talking better than a lot of authentic mom-n-pop taqueria’s guacamole. Chunky, hand-made, hand-spiced and hence variable, but always quality.
They pretty much shit all over Taco Bell by comparison.
