Educational Archives-school mental hygiene films

Just wondering if anyone has seen these old films they used to show in schools. I have an old video tape of some of these films from Ken Smiths book Mental Hygiene, which are hilarious. I came across this DVD set. It sounds great but I am wondering if it is worth it. I read in the review that many of them had been cut for time, so I am hesitant to buy it. Or is anyone aware of a better series currently out there?

Thanks

Oops, here is the correct link.

If you have a high speed connection, go to www.archive.org for some excellent 1950’s style educational films. Its in the prelinger archives I think.

I have 2 of the 4 sets: Social Engineering 101 and Sex & Drugs – not having seen the originals, I can’t comment on the “cut for time” - but they make for an interesting watch.

Tho I much prefer the MST3K shorts versions

I love the Prelinger Archives. Some of my favorites include a pointless film about telephones (literally), a pointless film about Santa Claus (unintentionally), and some strange film about springs sponsored by Chevrolet (“No springs! He-he-he!”)
