Have the History and Discovery channels gotten on anyone else’s last fucking nerve with all these shows on ghosts, psychic phenomena, Nostradamus prophecies, etc, etc?? Ghost Hunters is on SciFi Channel (or Syfy as I guess it’s called now, and that’s where it belongs if it must exist). I won’t ramble here, just looking for other’s thoughts on this.
Yes, that complaint comes up here very often, especially in the Cafe Society forum when those channels are mentioned.
Well shucks. T^hought I was bringing up something new.
Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.
The good news is that, AFAIK, the National Geographic Channel is still entirely fact-based, and actually has some shows that debunk ghosts, UFOs, and all that crap.
Coming soon ti History Channel: Chupacabra / Nostrodamus cage match.
‘Siffy’? Can’t that be treated with penicillin?
‘Go out with her if you want, but she’s a mite siffy.’
TVTropes lists TMC as one of the only channels to mostly avoid “network decay”, which is the term for this.
Hey, even the Weather channel is going to show weather movies.
I always thought Siffy was that thing where furries sniff each other’s crotches.
Well, actually Ghost Hunters seems more into debunking that finding ghosts …
Although I admit to watching Destination Truth on the railroad wreck theory … take a bunch of people, put them in the ass end of nowhere at night and have them run around with no lights.
Nope, didnt fall off a cliff this week …
