Gah! Too much stupid!
Given that he’s not running for re-election, nope, I doubt he will.

You’re talking about Cheney here, right?
By “embarrassing”, of course, you mean embarrassing for Bush et al. who couldn’t event grasp the simple notion that Kerry was describing… right? I also think it’s amusing that you make a comparison between Kerry and Frakenstein['s Monster], when it’s obvious that you don’t do any kind of thinking for yourself. (Cheney said it, it must be true. Bush said it, it must be true. Etc.) As further evidence, I refer you to your next statement:
Do you really think Bush/Cheney have a better idea of what Kerry meant, than Kerry himself did?
If you don’t actually think this, then can you explain to me why you’re more focused on Kerry’s mentioning of the “global test”, rather than his simple statement: “No one gets a veto over our security.”
If you do actually think this, then please let me know; I don’t like wasting my time trying to reason with nutjobs. [“Too late!” — LilShieste, from the future]
It’s also interesting that you came to that conclusion… how, precisely, did you come to that conclusion? Oh, that’s right, Cheney said so.
Can we actually look at what Edwards said (and Cheney’s response)?
Actually, he’s right. Edwards should have said “88.5%”. Howvever, the 50% figure that Cheney subsequently pulls out of his ass (yes, out-of-his-ass: Iraqis make up about 38% of the total casualties) had nothing to do with what Edwards had said (note bolded portion).
There is one other thing I want to address, before I get back to work (nice late-lunch break, heh), regarding Cheney’s remarks about Edwards’ “absence” in the Senate lately (and I’m upset with Edwards, for not doing this, himself).
In case anyone has forgotten, Edwards has been on the [Vice-]Presidential campaign trail for much of this year. As such, I don’t expect him to have the same excellent attendance record that he has had in all of his previous years in the Senate.
Re: Edwards attendance record.
(bolding mine)
As usual, Cheney’s accusations and “explanations” last night, were without actual substance. Of course, who cares how true his statements are; he had some great soundbites.

Okay just to show I might be biased, I’m voting for Kerry/Edwards.
I’d say last night’s debate was a draw. To me, Edwards seemed a bit lacking in confidence whereas Cheney was a little too forceful almost to the point of arrogance. To me, that seems like a “wash”.
I think Cheney’s saying that he never met Edwards before last night was a bit much. Cheney’s been VP for 3½ years and never once met him? You’d think someone who presides over the Senate might actually want to know who the heck those people are. Geez there are only 100 Senators. He could have made it a point to meet with 1 per week and in 2 years he’d know them all. Then again, maybe his CEO Corporate mentality finds it disdainful to mix with the underlings.
To be fair, you try sitting across the table from the Raw, Naked Horror Known As Cheney™ for 90 minutes and see how good you are at keeping your composure.
(Me? Wooden stake and holy water inside of three minutes, tops.)
The whole matchup was like a scene from the bizarro version of It’s a Wonderful Life, between Vice President Potter and Senator George Bailey:
I forget how that ends; which one ended up with more friends?
George Bailey winds up strapped to a chair inside an abandoned nuclear cooling tower while his interrogators cluck their tongues at losing him to his fantasies.
Funny! I saw a quote from an online Dallas polling site, in which someone said during the debate they kept invisioning Robin, Boy Wonder…versus The Penguin.
How many times do you think each of them “held” their gas?
It was great, especially since someone with a sense of humor quickly put up a lot of antiBush stuff on there
I read that he had directed folks to factcheck.ORG in error:
Perhaps he meant to say factcheck.COM?
Looks about the same from here…
