AMC is playing the hell out of Negan’s ‘Eenie… meenie… miney… Moe’ line. And I can’t help but say it in my head as 'Eenie, Manny, Moe, and Jack.
My father (who owned a gas/service station in the 30s) actually knew Manny, Moe, and Jack, but he didn’t know no Eenie.
I still remember the little jingle at the end of their commercials.
But I remember The Dickies song better.
My aunt always said her three kids were “Eenie, meenie, miney, and there ain’t no Mo’.”
When I hear Manny, Moe and Jack, I think of “What was her name? Doris? Laura? Chloe? Manny? Moe? Jack? No…it couldn’t have been Moe.”
