EvilRoomie and I noticed these two little holes in the outside doorframe on our balcony (we live on the 2nd floor). Then we noticed bees coming in and out. The next day, we noticed the holes were a bit larger. I did some research and discovered that they aren’t bees, they’re yellow jackets! Smegging yellow jackets are nesting in a space where they can chew into our living room.
I’ve left a message with the landlords, and hopefully they will call back soon. The nest is about a foot up on the doorframe, which means it might be a lot of trouble to treat. Hopefully EvilRoomie will get home soon so I can call from work and talk to her about it.
Stupid yellow jackets.
