I just have to share this eery occurrence on SDMB. See, my mom’s name was Dale, and our last name begins with a J. So the forum user “dalej42” has always caught my eye whenever the name scrolls by on the forums. It’s been weird to see that name even though it isn’t my mom.
But the next level of eeriness is that dalej42 just opened a thread in IMHO asking about Tampa, the birthplace of my mom. Very surreal and odd.
Anyone else have these weird sort of occurrences?

There was a ghost (or maybe a zombie) playing for at least three game days.

Well, you see, I would just have supposed that both your mother and the poster dalej42 were sort of dyslexic daleks, at least one of whom also knew the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. Um, meaning no offence to to either, of course: I mean, I’m perfectly sure that Mother Improv Geek is capable of coping with stairs and if our very own non-Dalek does indeed know the Answer, then I’m terribly impressed by that.
Nope, I get away without much confusion on the boards, apart from a double-take at anyone whose user name starts with the letters “Ce”, which is enough for me. I’m glad of it, though, because the shock of discovering (on the net in general, not the SDMB) that I am in real life a mad preacher person was quite enough shock for me.
Oh, yes, and there are some names I do tend to read wrongly, so I often wonder why there should be someone being an improvised Greek. Then I clean my glasses, and look more closely.
