Election 2009; Did you vote today?

Yes! My city voted today whether or not to allow liquor sales inside city limits. A bottle of bourbon without having to drive a town over? Yes, please!

An hour and a half before the polls closed, I was voter #30 for my precinct. Last year’s presidential election had thousands of votes by then. Where are your priorities people?!

My town had an election for the school board and on whether to allow Sunday alcohol sales. I voted pro-alcohol and didn’t vote in the other elections.

Voted this morning for Corzine. The polls for this race were extremely close and it could come down to the absentee ballots.

My internet connection right now is incredibly slow and it’s taking forever to open the news sites. Very frustrating.

We voted for mayor (2 running) and 3 open city council seats (9 running). The fact that there were more candidates than positions is amazing. Usually we have to recruit people to be on the ballot.

I woke up early, so I was there at 6:10, shortly after opening. We had paper ballots instead of a touchscreen, which caused some difficulty for my customary voting method of covering my eyes and stabbing with my finger. I complained about them not having any orange juice or cookies afterward, but the lady explained that that was for giving blood.
