Electric Sun

Mystical? Indeed, it is always mystical when someone solves a problem. The human brain is a marvelous creation. In the past few pages I explained why the solar wind accelerates at such a rate that convection alone cannot explain, why sunspots appear to be massive hurricanes with tornadoes pouring into and out of them, the auroras, Thor drinking the oceans, volcanoes and whatever else I tried to explain… all with my imagination.

“And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

You forget how critical those gaps in our current understanding of science are. Flames that bend back down towards the Earth before earthquakes. The solar wind and its affect on our planet, tornadoes and hurricanes that are massive energy vortices are thought to simply be warm rising air, magnetic fields manifest themselves without electric currents all over space. These are just a few of the fundamental flaws in science. They are the first line in the equation that makes all of the rest of it wrong.

A bigger certified lie is hard to find. He did not check the link with the science QuakeSat researchers are working with, the reality is that one should expect to see his proposition or theory to be the one considered for the science being used in a satellite to search for the electromagnetic signals as producers of quakes. That is not what researchers found, so even this Theory is not producing expected data.

If electrical phenomena were the cause of quakes it would be expected to be more powerful than the signals detected so far, Scientists found only electrical signals that fit with the calculated micro fracture of rocks or the speed of the pressure waves (more acoustical in nature than electrical)

The evidence is here to say simply that TheFonz is lying when he complained and implied that his theory is useful, it is not. In the topic of quakes, TheFonz is certifiably the uninformed one.

Unfortunately, without connection to any facts.

I disagree. I see a man presenting what he believes to be the truth. I don’t get the sense of denial or willful ignorance I got with Lektt. Lkatt always seemed to be sticking his fingers in his ears. The Fonz seems to be honestly frustrated and stunned that we can’t see the truth of his claims.

Graham Wilson was afraid to state what he believed or why. The Fonz has honestly answered questions about his theories, started threads on them, and is willing to take on the SDMB even though he feels he has little chance of success.

I don’t know how rock fracturing below can cause flames above them to bend back down towards the ground. Perhaps the signal are muffled because the charge is equalizing itself in the rock below? This is why they are slowly drawn together and the pressure increases. The theory’s not perfect, it needs research. But given the electromagnetic nature of all things, from gravity to radiation to our Sun, it’s not that hard to see where the original energy came from that causes the plates to drift and slip in the first place.

I mean, ask a geologist where all this energy causing all the plates to slip and slide is coming from. They’ll give you a blank stare, and then go on about how dissipation of heat from the mantle is thought to be the source of energy driving plate tectonics. That their models indicate that convection of some sort is occurring throughout the mantle. This energy must be translated to the lithosphere in order for tectonic plates to move, though. How this convection relates to the motion of the plates is a matter of ongoing study and discussion.

To them, there could be only two forces that are accomplishing this: friction and gravity.

If we understand that tornadoes and lightning are more than just warm rising air and clouds rubbing together, we can begin to look at Tornadoe alley and central Africa with a little bit more understanding. Perhaps these massive energy vortices are doing a little more than we thought?

Thanks Doc. You’re alright. You and that Godzilla guy. At least you see that I’m making an honest effort, and that I DO understand what it is I’m talking about instead of just repeating what I heard.

Saying that I was uninformed was not based on a factual claim and implying the theory the quake researchers are using is not useful was the lie.

There is no problem then if that was his approach, posting images with no context is not being honest. Ignoring scientific data showing volcano, meteoric or lava activity on the Moon or Mars is not being honest. He may be answering but it is only with partial truths or assigning malice to his opponents.

About the only thing I see were you are correct DocCathode is that he is frustrated.

Not when he honestly believes you are misinformed and that the theory seismologists are working from is not useful. A lie isn’t a factual error. It must involve a deliberate intent to deceive.

It is if he believes that context to be irrelevant.

To him we’re the ones ignoring data and being dishonest.

I do not think that he is lying–otherwise he would have already been banned for trolling.

However, I do not believe that letting him post silly things that are unsupported by actual science, (and which he can only defend by handwaving, ignoring both observed facts and logic), does anything to fight ignorance.

Perhaps, if he approached us with respect, instead of name-calling, and actually laid out how his ideas actually function (including that messy math stuff), I would be a bit more tolerant of his person. However, he has adopted the persona of the Great Seer bringing The Truth down from the mountain to the rabble and he simply has to put up with the responses he gets as long as he insists of playing that part.

Do you got kids tom? People you love? I’m trying to get YOU off your high horse and get YOU to do something about your situation before the time comes when you will be unable to do ANYTHING. That’ll be when the big market crash comes, and all the millions of people in our country have the same idea as you: “Shit I need to get mine NOW!”

I know I’m not making it through this market crash/climate change/religious revival. I’m stuck where I am. No assets to sell, family members who are too ignorant to understand anything I talk about and get angry when I do, and I’m not in the best of shape. In fact, when I start having to wait a few days between meals I know my body will slowly break down just like so many other people’s will, and I will break out in the sores and diseases just like everybody else.

But if I help at least that ONE person realize what is coming, and help them to prepare for it, then that’s all the satisfaction I will need. It’s how I’m trying to find meaning for my wasted life, how I balance out all my regrets. It’s how I keep myself from breaking down under the weight of all this stress, and maintain my focus.

When I see a paranoid schizophrenic, I don’t see some poor crazy person. I see an everyman who so desperately longed to understand the world that in one terrible moment they opened their mind to it, and was forever shattered by its thoughts. I know they wanted to know, but couldn’t handle it.

Anyways, I apoligize if I’ve come off as arrogant. I was just trying to sound confident, and hopefully a little bit more convincing.

Do you honestly believe I was uninformed? Do you honestly believe that after posting the information and he merrily ignores it and then says with no reflection at all that I was uninformed helps the discussion?

He is entitled to his opinions but not to the facts.

You are justifying what in practice turns to deception whereas he is not aware of that, after many others and even a moderator have pointed out already that, continuing to do so is clearly being dishonest.

Do you honestly believe that? I did bother to investigate the meager data he presented, the quake item is only the latest item that lead me to affirm he is not honest since he did not investigate the applied research used, but like tomndebb says, I’m willing to accept the possibility that he is not lying, the alternative is not so flattering though, his imagination only is making him a champion of ignorance.

That’s not working out so well for you. I’m curious about one little thing: how did you come to the conclusion that at the tender age of 22 you have led a “wasted life”?

Because I partied hard just like any other youngster. I got swept up in it all, and felt the need to be accepted by people my age as opposed to living the life of a monk. I heard people like GIGO laugh at others who led simple lives, and followed the crowd.

Now, with so little time left before our age comes to a close, I don’t have the means or the time needed to repair the damage I’ve done to my etheral being. When I die, I will be sucked straight down to the lowest level of Hell. Not because that is where God is banishing me to, but because that is where the energy fields of my soul will take me when I die. Bigger, healthier, and more energetic souls stay on the surface, waiting to find a sperm and egg and be reborn.

Hopefully one day, far in the future when God and his ilk are settled in they will begin searching the depths of hell and scanning over the good and the evil, checking our memories. Hopefully they will see that I was not all that bad.

Or maybe I’ll just cease to exist. Either way, I know the way I lived my life was not the road to success.

I believe that The Fonz believes you are.

Absolutely. From his point of view, he has discovered many ignored concealed things pointing to a great truth- the coming catastrophe. To him, anybody who does not reach the same conclusion after hearing his arguments and seeing his evidence is either ignoring the facts, or lying to themselves.

tomndebb says, I’m willing to accept the possibility that he is not lying, the alternative is not so flattering though, his imagination only is making him a champion of ignorance.

That’s the tragedy. I do see great inteligence in The Fonz. I do see an urge to help the human race. He’s built a great cathedral of ideas, a baroque structure of facts and conclusions, a wonder easily equal to any cathedral of stone. Imagine how much good he could do if his work had a solid foundation. If we could show him his errors, I think he could accomplish great things.

Even moderators have their faults, GIGO. You presented your papers, cites, and whatever else but I also point out the big mistakes they make. They ALL rely on the general mainstream model, which itself relies on a set of ASSumptions. That gravity and friction and everything mainstream are the only ways things work.

I’ve never been so moved. That actually brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Doc.

I think he missed the tragedy part…

No, I saw the tragedy part. I understand the tragedy in it. There is tragedy everywhere.

And you have provided no EVIDENCE that the 19th century theories that everything operates on electricity–the theories that were put aside because they failed to adequately explain observed phenomena, failed to predict observable events, and failed to provide us with even one useful tool outside the realm of actual electrical operations.

You have made strange claims about sunspots that are based on nothing but your interpretation of pictures–an interpreation that does not have anything besides your desire to see it to support it.
You have linked to a rather silly demonstration about using electrical arcs to cause (less than a kilogram of) clay to bubble while attempting to extrapolate that to thousands of hectares of Martian landscape to undergo the same sort of bubbling without explaining how it would survive its own gravity.
You have claimed that volcanoes were not really volcanoes because the lacked a feature that known volcanoes actually lack.

And this all seems to hinge on the fact that current scientists have not yet explained every aspect of every phenomenon, even though your ideas explain even fewer phenomena and do so less clearly.

Convinced he has doomed himself to hell or oblivion and that he cannot be helped. The Fonz is compelled to warn us. Here he is, doing what he sees as the right thing without hope of reward. It reminds me of Don Quixote.

But Don Quixote presented a false dilemma. The choice was not between nobility, bravery, generosity in a land of delusion and an emptied old man in reality. All the greatness of Quixote could have been brought into reality. Instead of imaginary giants, he could have battled corrupt tax collectors. He could have battled the lack of food and medicine for the poor.

Fonz There are real battles that need an inteligent, sefless man like you. Only if you continue titling at windmills is your life wasted. There are people who can help you. Fight your neurochemistry and find reality. A new life will begin, and you can make it a great one.

Each morning, I take concerta, lithium carbonate, paxil, and abilify. Without them I am lost to panic attacks, compulsions, an inability to concentrate, and a reality that keeps slipping from my grasp. With them, I live in reality and have the power to do good in the real world.

Starting from a solid foundation of reality, what cathedral will you build? How much good will you accomplish? Stop wasting yourself on windmills. There are causes that need you here.
