I am having trouble with electrical interference which is affecting my digital TV. It also effects the TV when I switch it back to analogue. I live in a block of flats and we have a common digital aerial on the roof. I’m assuming that it’s someone else turning on a light or some electrical device. It goes on for hours sometimes turns off for a minute or two then goes back on again. Is there a way to find out where or how this interference can be stopped. My neighbours don’t seem to have this problem.
What makes you think it is electrical interference (by which I assume you mean from the power line) and not something else? After all, all TVs are connected to (and thus close to) the power lines in a building, and so are presumably built to be able to handle this, and normally succeed. What are the actual symptoms?
The TV digital channels will be fine then it pixilates and becomes unwatchable. I switch to analogue and the electrical white lines appear but is watchable. It just looks like somepne flicks a switch or turns something on.
