Email claiming I bought a book

I got this email today from AsAManThinketh.net, claiming I bought a book online entitled “The Power of the Subconcsious Mind.”

The email adds they charged the amount against “my” MasterCard (which I don’t use).

Since this seems to be a scam, should I ignore it completely, or should I challenge the website?

It’s just spam; ignore it.

As long as you do have a current MasterCard, go online or call their 800 number (on back of card) to ascertain whether they really charged anything. If so, dispute it. If not, just ignore it and delete the email.

I keep getting emails about charges or payments to my American Express card. I do not have, nor have I ever had one of their cards, so just delete as “junk” and ignore them.

It’s a phishing scam email. Just report it as spam and delete it. One of my email addys gets dozens of these everyday, since my hubby used that email to register for something.

Thanks everyone. I’ll ignore the thing.

(The only MasterCard I have is new and doesn’t have the last 4 digits the website quoted.)
