Email spoofed

My soon to be x-husband changed my password on my AOL email account and subscribed to a lot of porn sites making it look like I did this but he did it from his own computer. Can I trace these back to him?

Why? Just unsubscribe and don’t descend to his level of petty, spiteful bullshit.

What other motivation would our erstwhile new friend have? She seems intent on proving he did this - I wonder to whom and why.

No, you can’t. You’d need law enforcement help to get the sites involved to release the relevant data. And if you could do this, why would you want to? The legal system has more important things to do than investigate petty pranks by soon to be ex-husbands.

fix your password and unsubscribe.

Take the high road. Key his car, order pizzas delivered to his house, and subscribe him to The Wall Street Journal like an adult.

In divorce trials where child custody is an issue, a parent’s moral fitness is a factor the judge considers in determining custody matters. Perhaps the OP is asking for way to obtain the info for this reason.

Clearly, this is intended as a joke. Because no one here would advocate performing illegal acts in violation of the board’s TOS and run rules.
