Emails: Attaching a Word Doc...

Can I attach a Word document to an email IF the document is in use in another window? Or, is this a bad practice? - Jinx

MS encourages you to do this by the fact that there is a Send To Mail Recipient option on Word’s File menu. What this does is it makes a temporary copy of the document in it’s current state, opens your mail program, starts a new email and attaches the copy. The short answer is yes you can.

Is it a bad practice? Only if you continue to make changes after you’ve attached it to an email. There is no dynamic link from your attachment to your current Word document (or any other file on your computer for that matter).
