Embassy Guards of Other Nations

In United States embassies around the world, each embassy has a contingent of United States Marines as embassy guards.

What about the embassies of other nations? Do they also have small embassy guard detachments from their own armed forces?

Not all of them. At least I never saw a viking when I visited the Icelandic embassies in Sweden and Denmark.

And does each US Embassy have Marines? I’ve never seen them here?

The Marines secure the embassy from the inside - the outer perimeter is held by civilian security guards. In Tel Aviv, the guards are local contractors.

Pakistanis have Frontier Corps personnel is SOME embassies.

Not all US Embassies have Marines.

Canada has the RCMP, but in plain clothes.

Israeli embassies have Foreign Ministry security personnel, but no military.
