:dubious:
If he had buggered her senseless*, it still would not have made what happened to him ok. No one can take the law into their own hands. If wolf whistling was a crime, the authorities should have been called, not vigilantes. Even if he was “uppity”
I yield to no one in my pursuit of liberal self-knot tying, but this is not that. Till acted, at the worst, rudely and insensitively, and was brutally murdered in response. Neither proposition is something liberals would dispute. Even the most ardent feminist SJW would not support murder as a remedy for catcalling.
If DerekMichaels00 sometimes seems to pursue it more vigorously, it’s probably just that, when a person’s only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Wait, Bryant actually LIED about what Till did? Well, I for one am shocked! Shocked I tell you! (I didn’t even know she was still alive – I figured she was roasting in hell with her bastard ex-husband)
Since Bryant admitted that she lied, he didn’t do anything, sleazy or otherwise. :dubious:
Till’s mother said that he had a stutter, and one of the ways he brought it under control so he could speak was to whistle. So he may well have “whistled at a white woman.”
Everything about the Till case makes my hair stand on end, details such as this even more so.
