Emperor or King?

Pretty sure this is the right place to post.

Although it does have a factual answer it’s in the context of a debate.

The tale about the ruler who went around naked because he didn’t want to admit he was stupid.

Is it.

  1. The Emperor’s new clothes
    or
  2. The King’s new clothes

Any web site/ factual evidence is greatly appreciated, especially some kind of Book Database (IBDB? :))
