OTOH, around here they have two of them at some freeway interchanges. One on each side so you get off, eat and get back on without crossing the freeway.
All I know about opening a restaurant in a place previously occupied by a failed one is you gotta have a lot of money you just want to get rid of. It’s a fool’s errand.
Togos for me. I grew fond of them when I was living in San Jose, even ate in the original one by San Jose State.* There were two in the area about a decade ago but the one by me closed. I assume the one in Scottsdale closed as well, but I haven’t checked. 25 miles is a ways to go to buy a sandwich.
I can beat your church. A Wendys closed about eight years ago and stood vacant until last year when a mortuary moved in. I don’t know if they prep the deceased there or just display them.
*It was in a tiny house too small to have any seating so everything was to go.
