Zel, you’re a Christian, and you don’t know about the thief in the night passages? People on the earth will be unaware of the end until it happens, per scripture.

Too many people confuse the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Peter. Jesus held each person accountable to think things through. He always taught by asking questions.
Peter made pronouncements and issued orders. Peter also founded the Catholic Church. . .

Ahh the ole’ Valenzetti Equation.
Good luck - thinking for yourself and examining the evidence is the best way to live!
I’m pretty sure that was Sesame Street.
The point is that every religion has unclear guidelines.
The arguments between religious scholars continue for centuries.
Popes contradict previous Popes, pastors disagree with each other, religions splinter into sects - each totally convinced they are right.
Also there’s never any new evidence what any God wants.
According to Matthew chapter16 verses27-28 “For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Fatherand then He will render to everyone according to his conduct.Amen I say to you, there are some of those standing here who will not see death ,till they have seen the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
Since Jesus Himself was wrong, I wouldn’t worry about the end of times, such as Jesus also stated ( I believe it was in John) That the stars would fall, the moon turn to blood and the sun would no longer give it’s light. some say that is just the end of the temple etc. but if the stars fell and there is no sun, the earth would not exist, and it seems Jesus didn’t know the only star in out planetary system was our sun. I would say the writer put words in Jesus mouth so to speak.
Jesus may have been more prescient that we give him credit for.
Current thinking says that either the universe is expanding or contracting. If it’s contracting, everything will reduce to an infinite point; so I gues if anyone was around, they’d see stars falling.
In a few billion years, the sun will become a red giant. I guess that at some point, the moon will take on a reddish hue.
After becoming a red giant, the will become a white dwarf, giving out almost no light or heat.
He knew a thing or two, that old J C.
The stars could be said to be in a constant state of falling, being red doesn’t mean turn to blood, the quote said," the Moon would turn to blood and the sun would no longer give it’s light" it wasn’t quoted as the color of blood, and there would be no meek to inherit the earth. Plus, Jesus didn’t come in His glory with all his angels in the first century so we can rule that out.
