I kind of stopped watching before this one so I’m not sure it’s what you mean, but all research indicates the Grey’s Anatomy episode was called “Staring at the Sun” and was season 3, episode 8.

The Forensic Files episode you’re looking for is entitled “Treading Not So Lightly”. It was just on TruTV the other night. You can probably find out when it airs again at http://forensicfiles.com/emailus.htm or possibly get a DVD copy.
