Spoilers? Like as if there are people in the world who haven’t seen all three Back to the Future moves sixteen times!?
Anyway, at the end of BTTF2 one delorian has been struck by lightning and sent back to 1885, the other one has just gone back to 1985 when Marty runs round the corner to tell the Doc he’s back from the future.
So where does marty find the third delorian he uses in BTTF3? I’m sure it’s a simple answer.
Also, what happened to the delorian the doc had? (what happened to it in 1885 I mean)

The delorian from 1885 was burried and stayed burried until 1955 so marty could find it.
From the point of view of the car, here’s it’s sequential timeline:

[li]With Dr. Brown, jump to some point in the future, get tricked out with flying capability and “Mr. Fusion”[/li]
[li]Jump back to Oct 1985, pick up Marty and Jennifer[/li]
[li]Jump to 2015 to prevent Marty and Jennifer’s son from being arrested[/li]
[li]With Old Biff driving, jump back to 1955 to deliver fifty years of sports history to Young Biff[/li]
[li]Jump forward to 2015 to pick up Doc, Marty, and Jennifer[/li]

So in November 1955, there were four instances of the Delorean in Hill Valley: the relatively new car Marty just used to escape the Libyans, the slightly older car, with flying capability, that Biff used to deliver the sports book, the slightly older car that Marty and 1985-Doc used to get back to undo the delivery, and the seventy-year old version sitting in the cave… ALL THE SAME CAR at different points in its timeline.
Er, I understand they are all the same car! I am not being literal when I speak of several delorians! I am just speaking of several instances of the same delorian.
He hid it from the locals in the cave, first draining it of its fuel for storage, and hid it in a cave, blocking it off and marking it with his initials (Emmett Lathrop Brown) just like in Journey To The Centre of the Earth.
