For those not familiar, Bolling was a host of some programs on Fox News and Fox Business. He was recently suspended over allegations of sexual harassment. Yesterday, he and Fox “amicably” broke ties to one another which is probably a polite way of saying he was fired. The same day, his 19 year old son was found dead of an apparent suicide. Either Eric Chase (son) found out the allegations were true, assumed they were true and the firing reinforced those thoughts or if they are false the accusers have blood on their hands and wrecked a family. It doesn’t matter what you think of Fox or Bolling this is just plain sad.
Or, his son had other problems and the timing is a coincidence. Not everything can be condensed down into a neat little either/or.
What about the guy who is a jerk and can’t control his sexuality?
I wouldn’t wish burying their child on any parent, not even Cheetolini himself.
From Eric Bolling’s Twitter feed: “Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.”
Yes, point taken, I went with the coincidences right down to the timing. It may not be connected at all.
I had seen a prior tweet from Bolling confirming the death. All the news I saw was saying it was a suicide but we know they can be wrong sometimes, right? I can also understand the need for privacy no matter what the cause of death.
I’m not sure I follow your comment. Do you mean the son was not able to deal with his dad’s behavior? I understand that. However, as far as we, meaning the public know, there were allegations not guilt. The family may have known more or as I said in the OP the son may have assumed either way or any other way you slice it, it’s sad.
You blamed Fox for the suicide. It’s Bollings’ own fault he was fired.
Well since we don’t know what happened, we can at least speculate, right?
So sad. Thoughts go out to he and his family.
I, for one, hope never to live in a world where totally unfounded, yet entirely predictable, pointless speculation isn’t the first response to most events.
Tmz says he died of a drug overdose. Considering the recent threads we have had about opioid overdoes like fentayl it sounds like it could just be a coincidence.
It’s also possible that whatever happened to him, happened before the news broke about his father.
Then you must be a happy man.
It wasn’t my intention to make the OP sound like I blamed Fox and I didn’t think it read that way, so apologies for that. The opinion I was trying to express was that the death was either tied to Bolling’s behavior, or if the allegations are not true, then the accusers inadvertently may have led the kid to suicide. In a response to a later post I also agreed with someone who said there may be no connection to any of it.
What a terrible thing to say.

I still don’t see how Fox News takes any responsibility for this.
Prior to killing yourself, the person has to be in so much emotional pain. I imagine most people dont understand. Deep dark depression is so hard to get out of, the pain is horrendous and also in some cases, physically dilapidating. I dont wish it on anyone. I feel their pain. Its an ache I can relate to. Wishing there was some way for those who feel as Eric’s son did would have more access to help before its too late. I think its just another issue that gets swept under the table.
I cannot even start to comprehend the pain he must have been feeling. It’s just heartbreaking that he, or anyone contemplating ending their life did not have or felt like they didn’t have a resource to reach out to. It’s incredibly tragic.
