erm...shaving? and the increased risk of STDs...

little micro-cuts and everything…

is there a sizeable increase of STD infection for men who have taken grooming to the itchiest of levels?

and why do i always have an embarrasing post, a religious post, or an embarrassingly religious post…?

There are around two dozen sexually transmitted diseases (depending on how you define them). Which one do you have in mind?

I would say you probably need two things to catch a STD:

  1. an entry point
  2. a live virus

I think there is more concern from brushing your teeth than shaving, as the mouth rather than the face, is used for sexual things. I’d be interested to know what sexual activity takes place where facial hair grows

Who said facial hair?

thank you SavageNarce – I was trying to put it a bit too delicately, I suppose :o

Yes, people, we are not talking about facial hair…

I believe there are documented cases in which Thai Buddhist monks acquired AIDS from the use of a shared razor (for shaving the monks’ heads).

I believe that sharing a razor is a potential risk factor, regardless of what part of your anatomy you may be shaving.

Well you could get a Brazilian wax like I did… No cuts, not too much pain.

Well, being a nudist, I may have some input on the subject. In the nudist population, about 25% are ‘smoothies’ or have remove themselves of their pubic hair. Whether by wax, or by shaving, or by laser, or by electricity, they’ve removed the hair.

I personally think that it’s all there for a reason, so leave it be. But anyway, I’ve heard nothing of increasing the chance for STDs, but I will ask.
