If you’re having Bloody Marys, you need horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, celery stalks, and celery salt. Lemon and wedges along with raw oysters and/or clam juice make nice additions.

That’s more a brunch drink, isn’t it? I got the feeling the OP meant for a Friday evening.

My alcohol cabinet contains a mixing whiskey, a drink straight whiskey, a spiced whiskey (for egg nog mostly) and a cherry flavored whiskey (good with coke)

Anything else is a waste of time.

(Ok, some vodka and gin… but mostly, I like whiskey)

Anyone who expects that from the average home bar can damn well BYOB.

Wine, beer, a few simple highball variations and you’re good. Anybody who wants something fancy can go to a bar. People don’t expect endless variety at a cocktail party in a home unless the home belongs to a chef or a drunk.
