These beautiful space pictures from the Euclid telescope are worth your time. My understanding is the telescope is on a craft launched into space and capable of taking detailed wide-angle pictures showing galaxies separated by enormous distances. Since the pictures just show one day of observation, many more are in the future.
Thanks for the link - really beautiful images! I understand Euclid is going to measure red shift, look at gravitational lensing and other things and try to map the universe and understand things like the expansion rate after the Big Bang. I’m hoping we will get to see some stunning deep fields, very old galaxies and weird anomalies.
Perhaps if its wide camera spots something interesting, the JWT will zoom in for a closer look.
