Intrigued by the line “we will never seek a permission slip from Paris to defend our nation!” (I had an image of the president at his desk, raising one finger for permission to pee, two fingers to poop, and three to bomb Yemen into kitty liter), I coudn’t help wonder how all this was viewed by foreign observers.
With your observations, please observe that I deliberately didn’t put this in the Pit. Bear in mind that, since I read your posts every day while I don’t personally know any delegates to either convention, I’m hoping we can keep this more informative than vitriolic (my brain runs on glucose, not bile).
