European Space Agency starts a YouTube channel

I know there are some fans of outer spacey stuff on the board, so I thought I’d share this:

ESA, the European Space Agency (you may remember them from such films as “First probe to land on another planet’s moon” and “First probe to see a comet up close”) established a YouTube channel just the other day, where they’re sharing videos about what they do. The intent is to communicate and explain their activities to the public, and help bridge the gap between the science and engineering teams in the Agency and the general public.

The flagship video

Youtube channel

The videos range from unnarrated montages to explanations of missions and their motivations and scientific results, and it’s planned to be updated regularly – you can subscribe to it.

I thought I’d pass it along in case anybody else gets as excited about these sorts of things as I do.
