This is a cool video of a guy talking about how awesome Mushrooms are.
I saw that earlier, but can’t watch the video here at work… can you summarize, pretty please? What are the 6 ways that 'shrooms can save the world?
The thread title reminds me of a line critic Richard de Mille made, commenting on mycologist Gordon Wasson (who, in turn, was writing about Carlos Castaneda and his descriptions of Don Juan’s drug trips):
“There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamed of in your Mycology.”
Evangelist & Mycologist.
Swell.
Phone him up.
Let’s see if he can get my Athlete’s Foot to convert.
Watched the video - very cool and inspiring!
I managed to watch it last night as well; very cool if all that is true and lives up to its promise.
Well, I was only partially watching it so I don’t remember the six things in order. The most interesting things that stood out to me though were three.
- Using Mushrooms as mediator to create ethanol more efficiently and to help the soil recover faster.
- To help replenish old growth forests and to slow deforestation.
- As a method to kill Carpenter Ants and Termites.
This is making me laugh far more than it should.
