Ever buy allergy medicine on ebay?

Claritin in the store is about 1 a pill, or you can get it on ebay for .25 a pill. What’s the deal here? Is the medicine on ebay expired or something? I’m about ready to start bidding, since it would definitely be a lot cheaper, and am interested in hearing your experiences.

I would never ever buy drugs on ebay or any other Internet site. You have no idea if they’re real or safe. Don’t do it. Please.

I’ll see Quiddity’s “never ever” and raise it by “in a million years”.

There’s no way to know what you are actually purchasing from your anonynmous e-Bay seller. I would be very surprised if this was not against eBay’s rules, by the way.

I know, but it’s so * cheap. :frowning: I still wonder what’s going on though. If it is against ebay’s rules there are certainly a lot of auctions out there.

  • yea, I’ve know the saying about pennywise and pound-foolish.

I’ve bought Allegra online from pharmacies in Canada (which is perfectly legal, as it’s over the counter there, which is why it’s so cheap), and been very happy with it - it’s the real deal, and not even close to its expiration date. You might want to see if it’s cheaper there than here that way.

There’s some things that it’s just not worth trying to shave a few dollars off of, and medication is one of them.
The number of auctions out there make it practically impossible for eBay to eliminate all of them in a timely manner, even if it is against their rules. Another example of this is MMO account selling.

I never thought of that GilaB. Thanks.

FWIW, you can get the generic of Claritin for much cheaper. I recently spent ten bucks on a month’s supply at WalMart.
