Ever know a family who named their kids via some cute theme or scheme?

Holy cow. I wonder if she ever got teased for that name. /s

Reminds me of one of my favorite SNL skits.

I have the same thing in my family, even the same letter, although both their first and last names start with M.

(and no, their surname is not Mustard)

mmm

I know a woman whose daughters are Summer and Winter.

Don’t know if there will be a Spring and Autumn.

mmm

My first name starts with “J”. My wife’s starts with “D”.

All our children’s names are either “J. D.” first and middle names, or “D. J.”.

I once knew a girl named Diamond. Her sister was named Ruby. Her brother broke the scheme a bit–their parents named him Earl instead of Pearl.

Almost. One of my nephews married a woman whose first initial is “T”; they gave their twins names which could also shorten to a “T” initial but one twin chose to base her nickname on her name’s first syllable. So they have two Ts and a V.

I knew a pair of sisters named Amy and Jamie. Their parents claim that the resemblance of the names was accidental and that they were not even aware of it when they chose the names.

In 1963 Charles Shulz (of Peanuts fame for you young’uns)introduced a family who’s kids had numbers for names.

I know a guy whose daughters are named Scarlet, Ruby, & Rose.

The only one that was named in the strip was “5”. ISTR their last name was their zip code, too.

He could have been Jasper.

3 & 4 introduced themselves in the strip as well.

In high school there was a girl named Bunny. She said she was born on Easter. And she has a sister named Holly, born on Christmas. I just checked and found them. They have three siblings with normal names. I guess they weren’t born on a holiday.

My friend played ice hockey, wanna guess what her number was?

I used to teach high school. One year I had Lovie and Dovie (twin sisters) in class. A band director friend of mine swore he had Donald and Daffy Duck in the band.

I also knew a girl whose name was pronounced Shamara. Unfortunately, she spelled it Chimera. If you’re going to use a creative spelling for your kid’s name, look it up before you make it official!

I went to college with a guy named Hermes. He had a sister named Artemis and a sister named Athena.

I knew a Willow who named her daughter Sequoia.

I remember working with Dolores who had several little half siblings.
Bambi
Fawn
Bunny
and Clover.

As a kid I lived near a family that had a Kevin, Kieth, and Katie. I also once knew a Sienna Brown, but have no idea what her siblings’s name were.

I guess I’m blind. I don’t see the theme.
