I just heard about this yesterday… still boggles my mind. These two parents in China have decided to name their kid **Saddam Deng SARS**. Apparently, they wanted to name him after the two most important world events taking place around the time of his birth… hmm.

I went to school with a girl whose full name was Hymen Gaye Rogers. I can’t say she was the nicest girl in the world but could you blame her with a name like that?
It was pronounce Iwanna. The girl went through hell in high school. How about Frank Zappa’s kids? Moon Unit Two and Dweezel?

At my friends kids daycare, there are little paintings with the kids names on them. One of the kids is called Neo. This is like if my parents had named me Tron. I will be back when I have found out if his surname is Andersson. It could very well be.
In my high school there was a girl named Ho Lee. If you say the whole name it sounds funny, but you had to, because if you just said her first name it sounds insulting.
And, there was a customer at a store I worked at once named Lauryl Hardy.
A friend of mine used to work in the DHSS (dole office) - apparently there was one particularly obnoxious customer called Mr Hogsflesh; the conversation went something like:
Next please… ah…Mr Hogsflesh?!

I know a girl at my school named Misty Knight. I always thought that was odd, though it doesn’t compare to some names mentioned in this thread.
My dad’s name is Leif Erikson…really. As far as I know, he isn’t an explorer. What’s interesting is that he is one of 7 children, and everyone else has run-of-the-mill names.

Just recently there was a woman who gave birth to two separate sets of identical twins at the SAME TIME! I’m pretty sure she was in the U.S. If someone has the energy to look it up, it’s pretty interesting. The odds against this ever happening are staggering. Two! At the same time! Shit. I’d have to buy a lotto ticket that day!
