Peter Buck (also from REM) at the Benson Hotel in Portland for NXNW in 1996.
Ran into Michael Stipe at a club in L.A. a few years later (sorry, not in the bathroom).
Who’s got a Bill Berry story to put the whole band in the checked column?

Took a pee standing next to David Schwimmer of Friends fame at Michael Jordan’s restaurant in Chicago.
Really not that weird, in context.
Not sure how I missed this one the first time around, but while I didn’t exactly take a leak next to him, I did literally run into Clint Eastwood leaving the men’s room at work in about 2000-2001.
He was apparently visiting our facility in anticipation of buying a helicopter of his own, and I’d just gone to the bathroom, and was heading out the door as he headed in. We sort of collided gently, and apologized to each other, I introduced myself, shook his hand and told him I was a fan, and he said “Thank you. I appreciate that.” and went on to do his business.
The main things I remember about him were just how tall he actually is in person, and how ancient he looked back then (and I assume now). He must be 6’4" at least, and looked like he was 100 years old.
R. Kelly.
Just kidding.
I peed next to Steve Garvey at a movie theater in San Diego around 1983 right after he signed with the Padres. I didn’t say anything, not even to compliment him on his great bat.
Now, if the question had been “Have you ever wanted to pee ON a celebrity?” I think this thread would be several pages by now.
Only Huey Lewis, in the movie Short Cuts.
