Ever seen a robot run?

I Robot is just around the corner.

running’ BWAAAHH HA HA HA!

(sorry. It is cool really)

A small jog for a robot, a giant leap for robotkind.

I’m going to enjoy these last few days us humans can outrun robots. I’m going to commit some crimes too. :stuck_out_tongue:

This reminds me of a documentary I saw a few years ago. It showed a ‘robot’ which was tethered to a pole so it could only move in a circle, but it’s movement was very fluid. It did resemble human running (the legs part anyway) Just shows that it’s a matter of (not much) time before this robot or something like it can run fast like a human.

I saw that video earlier this morning. It sent shivers up my spine! The Terminator can’t be far behind.

Somebody better warn Eve not to watch that clip.

Well, at least that thing isn’t going to sneak up on anybody.

Ever hear a robot poop? . The mp3 is not to be missed.

I, for one, welcome our running Japanese robot overlords.

Be nice if they would combine that type of cutting edge tech with the machines from Survival Research Lab

So… when does it run? It looked to me that it always had a foot on the floor. I hardly call that running. If it had been paying more attention to its knees I could believe “Ever seen a robot race-walk?”

But really, elephants don’t run and so far neither to robots.

Tenebras

I’d call it jogging. (Actually, it looks like it needs to take one of **Tentacle Monster’s ** robo-poops. NOW.)

Hey! Don’t take one of my robo-poops! I’ve only got three left and the weekend’s coming up.

Robot.

The Running Robot (or Jogging, or Quick Walking, or whatever you want to call it) was pretty cool.

RoboDump, on the other hand, was pretty disgusting.

I think Sony’s Qrio is cooler. On their web site is a video of a bunch of the robots doing a fan dance together. It’s eerie - definitely in the ‘uncanny valley’ territory. And it can jump, throw a ball, and do other amazing stuff.

The robots are coming! The robots are coming! Walk away reasonably swiftly for your lives!

Or we could just kick 'em.

will they be able to stand back up?
