Ever used FamilySearch.org?

I want to get started doing a little family research. I’ve heard FamilySearch.org is a good place to start.

1. Anyone here used it before?
2. Thoughts?
3. Can anyone else access the site right now? (I’m having a hard time getting it to load.)
4. Any other free (or not-so-free) places to get a good start on this? I’m not looking to research this back to Adam, just a couple hundred years or so.

Familysearch.org is a good site, but I would recommend that you start with Cyndi’s List. There are lots of links on how to get started.
