evidence for god? some one said so.

Creativity is divine.

So is pork belly. Hallelujah!

And the evidence for this is…? BTW, is “The Divine” supposed to be another name for your particular god, or could it apply to any other of the thousands of deities?

The brain. There is a wide range of intelligence, and a wide range of creativity. Where does sports ability come from? If creativity came from God, why did he bless Mozart and not PDQ Bach. Why did he bless Dr. J with sports ability and not me? The brain is immensely complicated - not surprising we don’t understand it yet.

Creativity is of course wide ranging, and as different and individual as we are. BUT where does it come from? The creative process is seemingly so random, because we’re astonished by it. I would suggest there are other forces at work, not just ourselves that are integral to the creative mind.

So, why is creativity distributed across all types of believers? And why is creativity so strong in lots of nonbelievers? Which God do you believe in anyway?

Post 666. Just sayin’.

I am laughing on the outside, 14 pages and new people who cannot be bothered to read the op continue to post nonsense that absolutely fails to meet the basic criteria set out in the op.

Andiethewestie do you have anything to ad to this thread that isn’t your personal opinion? All you are doing is continuing the exact same argument that has popped up over and over in this thread.

I was planning on letting this thing die before I started a new one, Silly me.

That’s funny. Atheists can dance can’t they?

Gee, I was going to ask you the same thing.

But that doesn’t actually make them correct.

If a person has faith that his creativity was implanted by Athena – not angry Poseidon, who he claims handles waves and earthquakes; not adulterous Zeus, who he claims handles the lightning from on high; but Athena, who he claims is niece of one and daughter of the other – would you say the guy was simply wrong? Would you say his faith is irrelevant?

Did you read the OP at all and if so, do you have anything to contribute that pertains to the OP?

I am asking you (and everyone else) to provide even a shred of evidence for the existence of god.

said evidence must meet basic standards for scientific evidence.

FTW.

I obviously can’t tap dance around the subject as well as you can.
I can hypothesize several sources of creativity. Genetics is one. Environment is another. If there was no theater in England, we might never have heard of Shakespeare. Having creative expression as a kid not stomped on by parents probably helps.

So, what do you got? It’s a mysterious miracle?

And that’s the flaw of the entire thread.

Maybe you could add a request to show how that evidence would not apply equally to Zeus, Rama, or Ishtar.

God exists because of rainbows.
Yeah, that Odin did a heckova job!

I’d recommend not holding my breath, though.

The request for evidence is the flaw of a thread specifically about asking for evidence? That you don’t have any does not mean that the request is unreasonable.

BTW, want to buy a bridge? I have the deed, but don’t ask me to show it to you, since that would reduce your faith in me.

Doesn’t look like you have a better explanation. Because what you have are only theories that can’t accurately explain the creative process, the eureka moment that takes the mundane into the divine.

This thread is about evidencefor the existence of gods. Did you read and understand the OP?
