Evidence of a Global Flood?

Not to defend the “bouyancy” argument in general, but isn’t bouyancy independent of volume? A block of wood that weighs a pound ought to float just as well as a block of wood that weighs a ton, right? Bigger trilobytes would float just the same as smaller trilobytes.

True enough. A solid object submerged in water will tend to float if its average density (total mass divided by total volume) is less than that of the water. Like wood does, for example. Or apples. Or witches.

However . . .

One of our zoologists can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe trilobites made their living on the sea floor. If so, then the poor trilobite that found itself floating would surely have starved to death. It’s not as if they were fish.

Remember, you get eight trilobits to the trilobyte. So if you are buying a new sea floor because you need more trilobites, a kilotrilobyte is 1000 trilobytes or 8000 trilobits, but if you’re buying RASF, it’s really 1024 trilobytes or 8192 trilobits. (But don’t bother suing, because the lawyers will take all the clams.) If you’re dealing with telecommunications, in which your trilobites transfer at nominal dial-up of 56 kilotrilobits but is really only transferring at 33.6k to begin with thanks to the RTAS server and is only really 4.2 kilotrilobytes per second in a unit that makes sense to the layman. Personally, I prefer to use at least a 1 megatrilobit connection for my trilobite downloading needs.

If it’s a Trilobyte that also knows how to program the only good thing that ever came out of it was The 7th Guest.

See, I’m much funnier than that fundie who writes B.C.

Trilobites were extremely diverse, and occupied many of the ecological niches of later crustaceans. While many lived on the sea floor, others were free-swimming in the upper layers of the ocean, like modern shrimp. See Opipeuter at the bottom of this page for an example of a swimming pelagic trilobite.

Interest, per your request in this thread on omniscience & free will, I am resurrecting this thread to ask you a question. Do you have any comment on the refutations to your arguments presented earlier, in particular those of tomndebb and Colibri, and Gigobuster ? Feel free to ignore my posts in this thread, as I was just being snarky.
