Me. Evil is an innate quality not measured by deeds.
Not to sidetrack the thread, but I think his aunt and legacy, high-level military operatives are the ones who actually wield the power over there.
Who’s that?
Just another TV “psychic” who goes around lying to people about speaking to their dead relatives like that douche John Edward. That shit is just plain wrong.
Don’t get distracted. You can change the tv channel but you cannot unsee what Ford has done to Jaguar any more than I can ignore this travesty.
The horror… the horror…
Andrew Wakefield. Lied about vaccines being linked to autism in order to support his patent for a replacement measles vaccine (patent application filed several months prior to publication of said study). Took money from a lawyer hired by a group of parents of autistic children who were looking for a reason to sue pharmaceutical companies. Performed invasive procedures on children without their parents’ consent and for which he did not have the appropriate training and experience. Paid children at his son’s birthday party to give him blood, and laughed about it at a public speech later, claiming he’d keep gathering “data” this way. Continues to make money and lie about vaccines years after his fraudulent study was determined to be so. DIRECTLY responsible for the current outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases that are harming and killing children.
By his own multiple confessions and manifestos that you can read right here on The Straight Dope Message Board, shouldn’t we all agree that Skald the Rhymer is way high on the list?
Fuck that, I’ma need a *large *Long Island to listen to that cunt for more than 30 seconds. ![]()
Also–despite some of our attempts to repress it–he clearly counts as a former head of state.
Your moral compos, as well as your grasp of history, are broken.
Among the serial killers in the three digit league, Pedro Lopez (Monster of the Andes) is still running free; presumably still raping and killing young girls around South America. 300 cases suspected.
I was going to post him
You owe me a new breakfast
You make a fair point, but I’m going to go with you as most evil instead. Why? Because you misspelled ‘habeas corpus’, that’s why. Sorry, it’s just a pet peeve of mine.
I don’t know if you can distinguish people when they get to the most evil 0.1%. That leaves about 7 million insanely evil people walking on earth.
At that point, the real question is which one of those 0.1% of humans have the most power to inflict evil. I’d say Kim Jong-un. Joseph Kony is extremely evil too, but he hasn’t led to nearly as much suffering as the Kim regime.
So you can’t exclude politics, the most destructive evil people control political systems.
The lack of knowledge displayed in this post is enormous and I say this as a critic of the Bush administration:
-the US economy did not go into a recession because of the Iraq War but rather because of a combination of the real estate bubble and too much deregulation in the financial industry
-Much of the deregulation in the financial industry happened well before Bush. Glass-Stegall for example was repealed by Clinton. It is probable that a recession would have happened at roughly the same time even if Kerry had been elected President in 2004
-Considering most of the world’s major countries opposed the Iraq War it is inaccurate to say Bush “bullied the whole world into a war”
I personally would go for Bashir Al-Assad or Kim Jong-Un. If we can’t do politicians, probably the head of the Taliban or some Colombian drug lord depending on the sheer body count.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner.
I’d have to say… rats, he’s excluded.
Joseph Ratzinger for crimes against humanity.
-
the preservation and leadership of a worldwide totalitarian regime of coercion, which subjugates its members with terrifying and health-endangering threats;
-
the fatal adherence to forbidding the use of condoms, even when the danger of HIV/AIDS infection exists;
-
the establishment and maintenance of a worldwide system of cover-up of sexual crimes committed by Catholic priests and their preferential treatment, which aids and abets ever new crimes.
Yeah, this has to be my vote also.
Completely self-serving behavior at the expense of thousands of innocent children and their stupid parents, and all done in violation of professional ethical codes and just plain good sense.
Even war profiteers look like angels compared to this guy.
What is a “moral compos,” do tell?
Qin, that’s a solid analysis, although I suspect the cost of the Iraq War contributed to the crisis.
Somewhat queasily, I wonder if the Mexican drug lords have overtaken the Colombian drug lords in body count yet.
Ford didn’t do it. Like Volvo, the company had longed for enough R&D money to break out of their tiny mold. Even before Ford took over, I believe a Jag chief officer bemoaned that they were stuck in the groove of making old-fashioned cars. I like the new Jags - and understand, my dad was a British car mechanic for several years after the war.
Getting Volvo out of the iterations-of-the-240D box (literally) has to go to Ford’s credit as well.
