Excel Help needed

I’m not sure if this can be done, but at work I’m thought of a computer guru and I hate to dissuade them of that image.

I have 52 files dated 2014 Week 1 through 2014 week 52. The files have five tabs to correspond to the days of the week. Each day is broken down into 16 segments and 16 categories.

I need to build a macro that will query the 52 files to create another spreadsheet to show the average # of calls in each segment and category over the year.

Is this even possible?

Yes, it’s possible, but maybe look into PivotTables instead. They exist for situations like this (summarizing information into groups).

Sorry, I missed the part about FILES. I thought they were all in one giant workbook.

Reply thanks for the Reply. I will look into the Pivot Table when I am back at work tomorrow. Spreadsheets are normally out of my role at work but I try not to say no to the office manager when something is asked of me.
